What is ministry-based coaching?
Just like every athlete needs a coach to help him improve his game, pastors and missionaries greatly benefit by surrounding themselves with others who can help them improve. As Scripture states, “iron sharpens iron.” Ministry-based coaching is one option for continuing to grow as a leader, shepherd, preacher and even spouse and parent.
Why should you consider being coached?
Very simply, growing churches are led by growing leaders. Not every pastor or missionary can pursue further education and oftentimes conferences just aren’t enough. A coaching network not only provides essential content for growth, it also provides intense accountability and personal encouragement. Your ministry will grow in direct proportion to the growth of its leadership.
How does the BBFI Coaching Network work?

Each participant will also receive six books authored by the six monthly coaches and access to a private Facebook group for peer discussion. Pastor Steve’s spiritual gifts are evangelism, leadership, and teaching. He also believes that one of the keys to an effective church is keeping a balance between evangelism and discipleship. Because of this belief, he is a strong supporter of the small-group ministry at Lake Pointe.
Although he is a sought-after speaker and church consultant both nationally and throughout the world, his heart is for the local church, and he looks forward to many more years at Lake Pointe.
